Sarah and Eric were married at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Anchorage with the reception following at the Sawyer Hayes Community Center in Crestwood. Jason Holzworth Photography had never photographed at either location, but was very excited about the wedding photography opportunities. St. Luke’s is a very beautiful chapel that had everything a wedding photographer could dream of. Castle like chapel, big red wood doors, beautiful interior with stained glass windows, and even a very nice location outside of the church for photos.
Sawyer Hayes Community Center was just as lovely. What a great place for a reception!
Here are a few words from the bride about her big day’s details:
where was it:St. Luke’s Episcopal Church/Sawyer Hayes Community Center
theme or style: Classic
bride’s dress: Martina Liana
bride’s shoes: Jessica Simpson Josette
jewelry/accessories: Great Aunt’s Pearl Necklace and simple pearl bracelet
hair/makeup: Hair done by Nikki Ritchie of New Attitude; Make up Clinique Counter at Macy’s
Groomsmen Tuxes: Suits from Jos. A. Bank, Cream Shirts Macy’s Online, Tie Mens Warehouse
wedding favors: Koozies from online site…don’t remember and M&M’s because everyone likes chocolate:)
the flowers: The flowers started out by The Greenery but they closed due to the owners health so Carolyn Blumeier who worked there took them over and did exactly what I wanted
the cake: Benita Logsdon did the cake and what little I got of it was fantastic and she was great to work with and very inexpensive
food & drink: Kingsley’s Meat was the caterer and it was good and I received many compliments on it they were very accommodating about what we wanted on our buffet heavy appetizer menu
Drinks/Alcohol provided by us which was one of the best things about using Sawyer Hayes was the money we saved on catering and drinks/alcohol by not having to use a preferred vendor
the honeymoon: Sun Palace in Cancun, Mexico and it was awesome, awesome service and much better than our last all inclusive resort
a memorable moment: Seeing Eric for the first time in the church. As soon as I saw him all my stress level from being behind schedule and busy just melted away. The best thing we did was see each other before the ceremony. He is so stress free and I’m not, so it made it that much better for me and my social anxiety from being in front of all the people at the wedding.
And now for some images!
